The Malawi Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project is a national flagship initiative aimed at strengthening the country’s electricity grid and enhancing energy resilience through cutting-edge battery storage technology. As one of the first utility-scale BESS deployments in the region, the project is a learning model for similar investments across Southern Africa.
